CLEVELAND, OHIO – Aitheras Aviation Group is proud to add a Cessna Sovereign to its fleet. The Sovereign will be available for air medical transports and corporate/executive charter. The Sovereign is the company’s newest addition, enhancing the size and range of its 12-plane fleet.
The Sovereign is a 9 passenger jet manufactured by Cessna Jets and powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney PW306D Jet Turbofans. The plane has a speed of up to 527 miles per hour and a range of 3,600 miles.
The Sovereign will be based at Cleveland’s Burke-Lakefront Airport along with 5 other planes in the Aitheras Fleet. The plane is convertible from an executive charter configuration to a medical bed configuration within 2 hours. When in medical service, Aitheras provides a medical team to support the needs of the patient. The available medical personnel include physicians, nurse-practitioners, registered nurses, respiratory therapists and paramedics.
Aitheras currently operates from 3 base locations - Cleveland, Ohio and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. On March 15, 2018 the company will be commencing operations from a fourth base site in Belmar, New Jersey. This operation is being established to service the greater New York and Philadelphia marketplaces. The company holds the esteemed Platinum rating from ARGUS International, is the fixed-wing provider of the Commission of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) certified medical transport program for the Cleveland Clinic, and is an active participant in the FAA’s SMS (Safety Management System) program.
Aitheras works in partnership with several leading health care systems in the United States, Caribbean and West Indies. The company holds Worldwide Authority, granted by the Federal Aviation Administration, and has successfully completed air medical transports from 56 countries.
