CLEVELAND, OHIO – Aitheras Aviation Group, LLC is proud to announce it is opening its Fourth Base Operation , in Belmar, New Jersey on March 15, 2018.
Aitheras will be basing a Cessna Citation V, Ultra at the Monmouth Executive Airport (BLM). BLM was selected for its central location to providing services in New Jersey, Greater New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. This opening represents the first establishment of a FAA Part 135 fixed-wing air ambulance service in the New Jersey/Greater New York marketplace.
The plane is intended to provide three primary services to the markets, including air ambulance transports, transplant organ procurements and executive charter. The plane is convertible from an executive charter configuration to a medical bed configuration within 2 hours. In addition to the primary aircraft, Aitheras can support the operation with additional planes from its Cleveland base, including two worldwide jets – a Cessna Sovereign and a Challenger 601.
For the patient transports and organ procurement transports, Aitheras is joint-venturing with Paraflight EMS, LLC based in Lakewood, NJ. Paraflight currently services the markets by providing Emergency Medical Services in ground and flights transports, organ procurement transports and executive charter services.
Aitheras currently operates from 3 base locations - Cleveland, Ohio and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. The company holds the esteemed Platinum rating from ARGUS International, is the fixed-wing provider of the Commission of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) certified medical transport program for the Cleveland Clinic, and is an active participant in the FAA’s SMS (Safety Management System) program.
Aitheras works in partnership with several leading health care systems in the United States, Caribbean and West Indies. The company holds Worldwide Authority and has successfully completed air medical transports from 56 countries.
